For the General Session, which featured Colin Powell’s Keynote, etech combined sophisticated scenic elements with cutting-edge technical support. “We wanted to design and operate an environment equal to the stature of our speaker and audience,” said Erin Warnock, National Sales Manager. “We accomplished our goal by utilizing a variety of set designs, high-end audiovisual gear and unique lighting.”

Three-piece spandex soft staging featured a diamond-shaped center backdrop to frame the speaker. A palette of blue lights set the scene, with moving lights displaying FEI and sponsor logos against the spandex side panels. Two broadcast-quality cameras captured the action from the front and rear of the room, with visuals projected on large screens at both sides of the stage.

etech set up a Green Room backstage for the comfort and convenience of the speakers—a place where they could relax and rehearse as etech’s staff prepped them for the stage.

Quality Shows in the Response
Colin Powell spoke about leadership, and garnered three standing ovations. “etech also deserves applause,” said Eagen. “They take ownership of the audiovisual elements, and we trust them to do so. They provide the same project manager and technical crew at each event. That’s a terrific advantage.

etech continually helps us expand and grow, and advises us on how to best use our budget,” concluded Eagen. “There are advances in sophistication and impact every time. We are always delighted with the results.”
