The Start of Something
Big
etech spearheaded the effort to impress attendees
from their first step into the show. “They did an amazing
entrance unit,” said Luna. “It certainly built
anticipation for what was to come.” etech
created a wide-span softset spandex installation with dramatic
moving lights across the show entrance. Special lighting effects
threw large ad:tech and revenue-generating sponsored logos
onto the display. A longtime exhibitor remarked that the overall
effect was more like crossing the ropes at a nightclub or
getting into a celebrity restaurant than like a tradeshow.
etech also provided lighting for ConnectLIVE!,
ad:tech’s informal networking event at which more than
2,500 people partied to the sounds of a live rock band and
were rocked by the live impact of chainsaws hacking a huge
ad:tech logo out of ice.
The Fine Details…and a Very Happy Ending
The Keynote Room also featured a large-scale soft set and
sophisticated lighting. Speakers were fully prepped by etech
specialists and enjoyed systems to help ensure the success
of their presentations, including operator-controlled slide
advancement, smooth video switching for graphic impact, and
a confidence monitor that showed presenters what was on the
screen behind them. The monitor also flashed time remaining
in each presenter’s time slot, which helped keep presenters
on schedule.
etech’s team of dedicated technicians
not only designed and installed scenery, high-end audio systems,
video, and lighting throughout the show, they handled internet
connectivity for a wireless system on the event floor and
set up a sponsored, revenue-generating Cyber Café.
A fully equipped press room was provided. In addition, they
recorded audio in the Keynote Room and five major breakout
rooms, and provided ad:tech with the raw material to use for
podcasts.
